We’re here to help make your Kodi’s Paw-a-Thon’s Fun Run Festival awesome!  Below are the most common questions we receive.

REGISTRATION

  • All participants under the age of 18 must have the consent of their parent or guardian.
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult, who is responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the child.

You can register on race day, however a late entry fee applies

 

 

Event upgrades/downgrades can be made up until the Friday prior to the event. Refunds cannot be issued for the difference in entry fee (if any) when downgrading your distance. Please email hello@petfriendlyfunrun.com

Race

  • Race pack postage ends 11:59pm, October 10th, 2021.
  • Optional race pack postage fee of $3.00, or free collection from the event site on event day.

 

Pre – Race booklet will be available October 20th, 2021.

We strongly recommend catching public transport to and from the event.

We strongly recommend you use public transport to get to the event, as car park is limited.

If you are planning on driving, we recommend the following

  • Around the Botanical Gardens
  • Alexandra Avenue (between Punt Rd and Morell Bridge) Once you find a park, walk along the Yarra and make your way to Alexandra Gardens, please allow at least 10 minute’s walking time to get to the event site.
  • Paid Car Parks available:
  • Arts Centre – access via South Bank Boulevard
  • Federation Square Carpark – access via Russell St Extension.
  • City Carparks

We strongly discourage the use of headphones on the course. If you do choose to use headphones while running, please ensure that you are still able to hear what is happening around you.

No personal support riders or bike riders within the vicinity of runners are permitted on course. It is the responsibility of each athlete while running to ensure that no bikes are on the course near the runners.

The use of any type of drone or unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is prohibited at the Event.

Prams are permitted in all events – please start at the back of pack for safety reasons.

Yes, only in the 5Km Pet Friendly Event & the Doggie Dash

RESULTS

  • All runners in the 15KM, the 10Km and 5Km races will be timed. If you wish to receive a finishing time, all participants must wear their RACE BIB. Your Race Bib contains a disposable timing chip, if you don’t wear your bib, you won’t receive an official time.
  • Please wear your race bib on the front of your top and ensure it is visible.
  • Results will be available online from www.petfriendlyfunrun.com

COVID-19 UPDATE

We have incorporated the below measures to make the event safe as possible for all involved.

  • All participants to use the Service Victoria app to scan Kodi’s Paw-a-Thon QR code.
  • As per current government guidelines on fask masks, when out in public, you are required to carry a fask mask and it is recommended that you wear a face mask when you cannot maintain a 1.5 metre distance from others.
  • When traveling via public transport, register Myki card in order to assist with contact tracing.

You will still be able to enjoy the entertainment as well as self-serve drink stations supported by our Volunteers. As well as the Kodi’s Paw-a-Thon post run recovery area.

Registered attendees for events that are postponed due to COVID-19 by the state or local health authorities are automatically transferred to the rescheduled date. For those that the new date does not work, we will allow deferrals to the event in the following year.
